Holiday Stove Top Potpourri with Cuties Clementines
Did you have a specific craving when you were pregnant? For me, it was Cuties. Kai was born in February and I remember the minute Cuties Clementines came back to the isles of my grocery store. It was as if I saw a ray of sunshine! All joking aside, I frankly would eat 5-6 Cuties a day! I’m surprised Kai didn’t come out of the womb smelling like a clementine. One thing I do know is that from that moment forward, Cuties always remind me of a special time, a time for family, happiness and togetherness.
Now Kai is a little bit older, she tried her first Cutie last spring and was instantly hooked. Cuties are so incredible easy to eat. Their simple, petite size fit perfectly into the hands of a toddler. Kai can even peel the skin herself! I also love that I can just throw a Cutie in my purse or her back pack and voila, we have an easily portable, healthy snack! The best part about Cuties is teaching Kai to share. When we split a Cutie, sometimes she feeds it to me voluntarily. My heart just explodes with happiness!!
In celebration of Cutie’s season, aka my favorite time of year, aka #100DaysofSunshine, I’m going to share with you my go-to recipe for Holiday Stove Top Potpourri
Since Cuties season coincides with the holidays, we have always used them as a stocking stuffer and decorative centerpieces around the house. I love their bright, festive color! When paired with simple cranberries and cinnamon sticks in a marble bowl, you get an instantly festive centerpiece that is readily edible! I like to sprinkle in a few sprigs of Christmas tree twigs to give it that pop of green!
For holiday family gatherings, I think invoking a warm and cozy sense of smell can really help your guests feel welcomed. I love using Stove Top Potpourri to naturally bring in scents of the season. Using Cuties for this trick is easier than ever. Plus, the beautiful pot simmering on the stove is sure to impress any guest. It’s Kai and I’s holiday tradition to make it together. Kids love to help around in the kitchen. Giving her the job of sprinkling ingredients into the pot is the perfect task! She also gets to eat the leftover Cuties, which is a HUGE win in her book!
With so many ways to incorporate Cuties into your family traditions, it’s no wonder they are a holiday favorite. Head to your local grocery store and pick up a box and try my recipe below:
