Macrame Hanging Herb Garden DIY for Beginners

One of things I get asked about the most on social media is "how do you keep indoor plants alive"? I am no master grower, just a pure plant lady at heart. Adding greenery, herbs and plants is the easiest way to bring life to every space and upgrade your Instagram decor game. I love to create functional spaces with touches of greenery and bonus points if said greenery is edible! I am so excited to partner with Scotts Miracle-Gro and Bonnie Plants to show you an easy, black-thumb approved way to grow plants and herbs indoors in macrame hangers. I am so passionate about this fun little project because teaching my toddler planter Kai how to take care of a growing garden is immensely rewarding. She also gets sensory satisfactions while learning important lessons about responsibility, observation and care.

We have been using Scotts Miracle-Gro for over 5 years in all our indoor and outdoor planters. We love that Scotts Miracle-Gro is American made for 150+ years. It literally helps plants grow 2-3 times as big! All of my indoor plants have loved this potting soil and thrived by just simply following the instructions on the cards. It really takes the guessing work out of planting! Walmart is our one stop shop for this entire project. I was really impressed with the selection and quality of herbs and plants from Bonnie Plants. The herbs were full, healthy and ready for a new home!

For today's project, you'll need:

1 Bag of Scotts Miracle-Gro Potting Soil.

1 Box of Scotts Miracle-Gro Plant Food.

3 Bonnie Plant Herbs. TIP: select 3 visually unique variety to bring textural interest to the space. We chose Italian Oregano, Cilantro and Pineapple Sage

3 Ceiling hooks

3 Ceramic Pots

3 Macrame Hangers (I made my own but you can purchase as well. For an instruction video on how to DIY, check out my Instagram Story Highlights).
