Easy Summer Ice Cream Pool Party You Can Pull off in 30 Minutes
This post is in partnership with Kroger. All the opinions are my own.
Summer is upon us! Our whole family has been practically living at the pool. With the many holidays and birthday celebrations this month, I thought it would be fun to throw a stress free Ice Cream Pool Party that you can pull off in under an hour! Entertaining in the summertime should totally casual and spontaneous. Ice cream, fresh fruit, confetti poppers are all the essentials to make this pool party a smashing success. Kroger MarketPlace is our one stop shop for every summer entertaining needs. I especially love that I can shop for all the outdoor toys, cute swimsuits, party decor while stocking up on our groceries. It’s never been easier to prep with the help of Kroger Marketplace. Here are some tips on how to pull off an ice cream pool party:
Tip 1: Set on a Color Scheme and Match Your Ice Cream!
One of the ways to carry a theme throughout the party is with pops of color. When I came across these adorable homemade ice cream containers in the outdoor section at Kroger Marketplace, I immediately decided we had to incorporate the pastels color scheme. I then found the super yummy Kroger Deluxe Rainbow Sherbet in matching orange, pink and mint colors. Call it coincidence but I was blessed by the party gods. The coordinating confetti paper plates and napkins were also calling my name from the decor section.
Tip 2: Make It an Ice Cream Bar with Custom Fruit Toppings
Summer and fruits go hand in hand! What better to top our ice cream with but juicy, fresh fruit. We shop at Kroger for every backyard BBQ and always serve a fresh fruit tray. I added in bite sized pineapple, cherries, grapes and strawberries for the color and fun!
Tip 3: Be the Hero, Add a Toy!
We found so many fun pool floats, summer water toys and had to snatch a few for this party. The best bang for your buck was the celebration section at Kroger Marketplace. I snuck a few confetti poppers in our basket as a last minute surprise. If you want to be the hero of the party, bring confetti poppers. The kiddos went wild for them!
Tip 4: Don’t Forget a New Suit
What’s a party without a new outfit right? There were so many cute swimsuit and coverup options, I couldn’t resist grabbing a new suit for the occasion. The prices with my members card was super reasonable. I also loved the high crochet neckline. Kai immediately picked out a hot pink two piece for herself. She looked so precious, I couldn’t say no! The breezy cover up I found in the apparel section at Kroger Marketplace is seriously one of my favorites of the season.
