Celebrating Kai's Half Birthday with Family Game Day

Ever since Kai turned 2, the concept of birthday party has become more and more exciting. I feel like she didn't quite get the idea of celebration before. Now she is a little bit older, she keeps on asking us "when is Kai's birthday?". This got me thinking, why wait another year to have an excuse to celebrate? We should just do something fun and special for her half birthday! What does every toddler on earth love? Pizza and games! You guessed it! It was no surprise we hurried Chuck E. Cheese's for fun, mid-week, easy activity for kids. It turns out the Chuck E. Cheese's location is the same one that Kevin had his 6th birthday party in Houston! What a small world!
I was so excited to learn about the All You Can Play program at Chuck E. Cheese's, which means your family can play unlimited number of games for the time purchased! Starting at $9, it is valid on all games on any day! What a great idea! There is nothing worse than running out of tokens. This way, our whole family can play as many games as we want and trust me, everyone had a favorite game. You can also pause your time for 2 times at the kiosk (for those much needed potty breaks ha!).
Any day I get to enjoy fun indoor actives in Houston to avoid the heat is a good one in my book. The game I loved the most was riding the toy car together with Kai. Her face just lit up when she saw the bright yellow car. We did this one again and again!
Kai also loved the classic skeet ball game, just like her daddy! Seriously, there are so many fun, interactive kids activities, it's such a great deal! Of course Kevin and I got into a heated basketball shoot out competition too!
To top it all off, we had a yummy pepperoni pizza to celebrate. Kai was so hungry from all the play, she practically inhaled it. We had such a fabulous time celebrating Kai's half birthday. The service at Chuck E. Cheese's was awesome! Everyone was super friendly to our baby and it just meant the world! It's the perfect activity to avoid the Houston heat and still have something the whole family enjoys. We will be back SOON!
