3 Most Instagramable Photo Spots in the Charming Houston Heights

With temps dropping and fall in the air, I am so excited to explore more of my city with my little family! To me being “in my comfort zone” is when I experience new places with Kai. If you have been curious about the most charming, Instagramable photo locations in Houston Heights, you’ve come to the right place! Kai and I spent the afternoon hunting down these iconic locations in a little mommy and me date.

Before we get to the map locations, let me tell you a little more about outfit details! My biggest tip for exploring with toddlers: invest in quality footwear! Because kids just don’t stop, you can’t let a pair of uncomfortable shoes stop you! I loved the Comfortiva Spring/Summer collection so much that I almost squealed when I found the classic Carrie boots for Fall/Winter! Comfortiva makes the most comfortable footwear to fit my crazy active life and helps me look stylish in the meantime. Ladies, let me tell ya, these suede booties are 100% made for walking! The Carrie is an ideal, every day staple upgrade bootie. I love the neutral suede uppers and the fun flash of metallic on the back of the heels. The Comfortiva Carrie has an exclusive pillow top memory foam footbed that makes my feet feel like they are walking on clouds. Kai called them “squishy” and she was sooo right! I just adore how easy it is to style any fall outfit (from dresses to leggings) with the new Comfortiva Carrie. These booties also come in black suede and steel grey suede-anthracite in addition to the light grey bronze I am wearing.

Location 1: Whitten & Proctor Fine Art Conservation - 1236 Studewood St. 77008

This fun location is in the heart of the Houston Heights and minutes away from shopping and funky local antique shops. I love the cactus growing again the interesting white wall. It makes for a beautiful backdrop morning or evening. There is even a little neighborhood plant garden right next door.

Location 2: Historic Heights Victorian Mansion - 1802 Harvard St. 77008

This historical building is such a rare gem in the Heights. It was built in 1892 but the original developers of the Heights and is grand in every detail. It’s a City of Houston landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. I love the overgrown, organic gardens and the iconic front steps. The home is currently on the market if you have a handy $2.28 million lying around. Otherwise, stroll around this charming neighborhood like we did and pretend like you are traveling back in time.

Location 3: Heights Mercantile - Heights Boulevard/Yale Street/7th Street

We didn’t quite make it this far before Kai got tired but I am saving it for another trip. Some of my favorite Instagrammable local eats are at the Heights Mercantile. Cloud 10 Creamery has super charming yellow benches in front and you must stop in Melange Creperie to see the French candy shop like décor.

No matter where our fall weekend adventures take us, I’m betting you’ll see me rocking the Comfortiva Carrie suede booties day and night. They are certainly my go-to shoe this season. Check out my latest Instagram post if you want to win a pair for yourself!
