How are you REALLY doing mamas! Has anyone asked you that this week? Are you deep in the trenches, not sleeping at night and towing around kiddos and just feeling completely drained? Yeah that are days like that for sure! Ever since we transitioned from our corporate jobs to work at home parents, the days and nights are blending into endless cycles of highs and low.  I want to be intentional with my attention and time with the kid but also have a more positive mentality on this rollercoaster ride. Just when the mom-guilt with the second baby is rising at the highest level, I remember some of the positivity exercises from previous personal development sessions. I thought, okay, we could AND should totally apply this to motherhood! So today, I am sharing 4 days to bring more positivity into your life as a mother and a chance to win $2020 gift card to LOFT to dress the way you intend to feel!

1. Be Kind in Your Self Talk!

Have you heard of the term self talk? It’s your inner monologue. Pay attention to the way you talk to yourself. Most of the time, you will notice that inner monologue is more critical than you would ever say out loud. Positivity is a choice and it starts from within. First and foremost, be kind to yourself and let go of the mom guilt. Even small shifts can be helpful: try the following: Instead of “ I can’t do this” or “I am not giving my kids enough”, try acknowledging the feeling, breath and shift to a positive action like “I am working on this right now” or “I am doing my best and my kids love that about me”.

2. Find Your Tribe

Positivity attracts positivity. Surround yourself with a tribe that will lift you up! My #momlife feels a million times more fun when I can text my mom group when sometimes completely unexpected happens. With a little help, we can turn anything into a “we’ll laugh at this later” kind of moment.

3. Dress the Way You Deserve!

I think being a work at home mom means we really had to settle into a routine. I noticed I feel better about myself when I took care of my appearance. I felt more positive and productive. This is why I am so excited to share  LOFTIMIST day with you! 2/20/2020 is the first ever National LOFiimist Day and I want to celebrate YOU!! A LOFTIMIST is a glass half full type of person who lives in the moment and spreads the JOY! She is perfectly imperfect and embraces our unique qualities. To celebrate the positivity in every gal, LOFT is giving away a chance to win a $2,020 gift-card. Just let your inner positivity goddess shine and posting your own photo using the #Loftimist and by following @LOFT*. You could win a complete new makeover to dress the way you deserve.
