How to Get a Living Room for Less

I cannot tell you how excited I am that we are almost to the finish line to being able to move into our new house. The first thing I cannot wait to do is decorate our living space! Generally, decorating for a living space can be a bit challenging when you're mixing styles and creating a mix of traditional and modern but leaning more towards traditional. These looks can break the bank but not if you know where to look! Home Depot is such a great resource for viral furniture dupes, their in-house home decorators have amazing value for the quality and you can still get those on trend styles

Here are my 3 tips to make it look luxurious without spending thousands!

1- Stick to a Neutral Palette - When picking out furniture in key spaces, I tend to choose creams, tans, and browns. That way you can switch out seasonal decor and easily change up the look without having to change the most expensive parts of the living room. We chose these rolling accent armchairs for a traditional look! Their comfort and durability are amazing, all from The Home Depot.

2- Gold Finishes for Antique Look-a-Like Finishes - French inspired mirrors have been so in these past few years but they are so expensive! The Home Depot has their own line for the perfect designer look for less. The golden details are so exquisite for hundreds less!

3- Mixing Metals - For a layered look, I love to weave in different metal materials. Adding a silver metal side table, black cast iron candlesticks, plaster planters, and a wooden bowl adds to the layers and textures, which in turns creates a richer look! Don't be afraid to add in height with faux plants and designer lightning, as well!

Make sure to check out The Home Depot for all of your décor and furniture needs. I am happy with the speedy delivery & the quality of the items!
