What’s one of the hardest decisions when it comes to renovating your home? For us, it was landing on exact design and materials. With so many choices on the market these days, I felt super overwhelmed. Like many homeowners, we are VISUAL! I need to see all the tiles / materials in one space. We wanted to touch and feel in person the many marble, porcelain or mosaic options. And it was important for us to get expert advice to make sure that it flowed and matched. Floor Decor offered this exact opportunity and everything was in stock easy to pick up the same day. They have so many top-quality products at rock-bottom prices and we particularly loved the hands-on experience. You can even book a free design appointment to help you source everything you need for your tile project. Best of all, you can use their virtual visualizer to see the exact tile in your home and easily try out different grout color, even tile laying direction with a tap of a button! VivianoDolomite Estrella Gray Marble Mosaic
It was love at first sight with this natural stone Marble Mosaic! This 12 x 12 decorative tile has a polished finish which was the perfect compliment to our white oak open shelves and reeded cabinet pulls. A small amount of this tile made the biggest impact because of the star mosaic shape. It’s durable and easy to clean as a backsplash to our coffee bar and will offer a timeliness look for years to come!

This hard wood and marble inlay flooring pattern is one of the most requested materials in our home renovation so far. Here are a couple reasons why we chose honed marble:
I needed the space to be friendly for any little wet feet as it connects to our outdoor space. The hallway sometimes sees water because our kids come from the pool this way.
I also wanted a tie in the hardwood materials from the rest of the house. We went for a very light wood stain and needed a marble with some warmth to match it. This is the reason the honed marble tile in 18 x 18 was such a good choice. It gives me just enough grip so that little feet won't slip. She also gave us a very natural, organic look that paired wonderfully with the White Oak hardwood floors.

We used a calming blue for the custom cabinets in the mudroom. I wanted to tie in the blue colors to the star shapes in the coffee bar. I find out using repeating patterns with similar designs can make a house look more cohesive. For this particular space I wanted something that was eye-catching but did not clash with the large marble and wood inlay patterns of the floor. This encaustic cement is the perfect mix of modern and collected. It adds this beautiful interest to the laundry space. It also ties in the cabinet colors with the marble on the floors and the quartz countertops. The matt finished on the Celeste Encaustic Cement Tile makes it ideal for wet areas, even shower walls or floors.
