This year Halloween may look a bit different and maybe a tad ~scary~, but that does not mean we have to miss out on the MAGICAL moments of the upcoming season. No matter what, there will always be a Halloween! Today, we are going to go over 3 easy steps for you to host the cutest Halloween Picnic Party, and the best part is it’s at your own home!!
I still can’t believe it, but this time last year Bodhi was still in my belly (AH!), so we are all super excited about having him a part of the Halloween Costume gang this year! Kai has been nonstop talking about all the different ways she wants to match with her baby Bo. Does anyone remember Joey? If you missed out on how the family dressed up last year- you should go check it out HERE- it’s one of Kevin’s favorites! LOL!
Last year, we partnered with Pottery Barn Kids and Kai will never forget the amazing picnic table we had to celebrate the more enchanting side of Halloween! It is bright and magical, which is everything we all need right now. They also have the cutest costumes for children that you HAVE to check! Kai was a butterfly princess and the quality is stunning! So, I wanted to share fun ideas for you to host your own Magical Halloween Picnic Party. Whether it’s with just the family or with a few kids you feel comfortable celebrating with, let’s gather up and create boo-tiful memories!
Set up a Floor Picnic Table!
This could be done super fast and mostly with supplies you already have at home! We ordered a few bouquets from our local florist and a few table settings from Pottery Barn Kids that matched our color scheme. Then, all we did was set up a couple of tables together, gathered some simple table clothes and pillows and voilà! You will quickly have an at-home picnic table to have some yummy snacks and share all the fun candy picked out.
Create a Ballon Backdrop with the Kids!
Pick out a color scheme with the kids- think their favorite colors or fun Halloween and Fall colors. You can find great, inexpensive balloons from Etsy, Amazon or even the Dollar Store! Pick a wall in the house and create a backdrop of all of your balloons. Kai loves all the pastel colors, so we picked pink, orange and a few fun ones like a moon and a ghost face!
Get Yummy, Spooky Snacks!
Even though trick or treat is uncertain, that does not mean we have to miss out on the celebratory sugar rush! We had an amazing, festive cake, donuts and sweets that I still think about at night and they hit the kid’s sweet tooth right on the spot! Pick up your favorite snacks and candies and make them spook-tacular!
With these easy 3 steps, you can easily create your own magical picnic! A great thing about being home is that you can have these fun decor and activities for more than just one day. So lets celebrate October 31st right at your own home! We can’t wait to share different ways our family is dressing up this year! It is one of our traditions and Kai’s favoriteeee to drive around and hunt down creepy Halloween yard blow-ups around our neighborhood and we still get to do it! What fun ways are you celebrating this year? Leave a comment of some new traditions for your family Halloween this year and what your kiddos are dressing up as!
Thank you for the amazing vendors who made this happen!
