Transitional Blue Serene Mudroom Laundry Room Makeover with 4 Must Have Appliances for Healthy Home
Can you believe this is the first completed space we are revealing in this home? When we started this renovation journey, a mudroom was A MUST! I really needed a space for organization and laundry for our growing family. There was zero storage. A really awkward closet that no one used, next to some really bulky appliances. On the other side of the mud room was just a wall. The wall adjacent to it connected to the den and had really deep decorative shelves that served no purpose. Together with my contractor Home Makers of Houston, I put pen to paper and designed custom built-ins that would eat into the shelves from the den side and serve as extra storage. We also built mudroom lockers for each member of the family to accommodate backpacks and shoe drawers. There is storage going all the way to the ceiling with woven cane doors. This blue transitional boho laundry room is now my favorite place! To keep our home healthy, I knew we HAD to research the best laundry and cleaning appliances to go with the new mudroom. Today, I am so excited to share 4 must have appliances and new tech for a clean, healthy home with the help of Samsung at the Home Depot.
Samsung Smart Dial Washer - This is a topic I did A LOT OF RESEARCH ON! With two kids and two pets, there is no shortage of laundry to be done daily around here. It was a no-brainer when we saw the Samsung Smart Dial Washer that it was a great fit for our family. The sleek design goes well with our newly renovated laundry room. One of the coolest features is that it is Wi-Fi connected so you can remotely start or stop your wash and get alerts when your load is finished! School is right around the corner so I know the kid's clothes will be going through the ringer. The washer has steam technology that will gently remove stains without having to use any pretreatment! The color and styling of this set is unmatched! So modern and beautiful, I could get used to doing laundry every day!
Samsung Smart Dial Dryer - When we were looking for a dryer for our new laundry room, we wanted one that was energy efficient and has a steam+sanitize option. The Samsung Smart Dial Dryer was exactly what we needed. I love that you can choose which way to mount the door to swing in the direction that you want it to open. Another cool feature is that there is a Filter Check Indicator light because you know mom brain happens and I forget to clean out the filter (which can potentially cause a fire). Both the washer and dryer are ENERGY STAR certified, so you can save money by using less energy without sacrificing performance or functionality. One of the coolest feature is that they are able to stack the washer and dryer units! This is especially helpful if you have a small space. Both washer and dryer came delivered white glove service to my home. The Home Depot even installed it right in its perfect spot for us. The fit was impeccable. I cannot say enough good things about this service.
Samsung Jet 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner - With our new floors in the house, I want to make sure to keep it clean as possible. The Jet 70 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner weighs only 6 pounds and is the perfect vacuum for everyday use to clean up our messes. The battery life can last up to 40 minutes before it needs to be recharged. We even built a custom locker to store the vacuum. We also added a plug inside the built ins to charge the unit. 100% would recommend it!
Samsung Jet Stick Vacuum Clean Station - This is something I never knew I needed! This clean station helps reduce the dust that comes from emptying your vacuum cleaner. It also has a 5-layer HEPA filtration system that traps 99.999% of ultrafine dust and allergens to release clean air. With our allergies, this has helped so much! Def the MUST HAVE clean tech of the year!
For all things renovation and home appliances to every material possible, visit the Home Depot in store or online. They have truly been a sanctuary for us during this process. I can always rely on The Home Depot for the most knowledgeable staff and recommendations. Their appliance delivery, installation and haul away progress was seamless. I can’t wait to redo our bathroom next!
